For this table, I experimented with using Milk Paint for the first time.
I was pleased with the results, even though I thought I was getting a totally different color of blue - I somehow failed to notice the actual color on the can. Oops! But, I'm really glad I ended up with this color because I recently painted the legs of my end tables with it (leaving the tops stained) and really liked the results.
Details:
Painted with "Federal Blue" pre-mixed Milk Paint
After painting, I sanded the entire piece down (I was distressing it and realized that as I sanded I liked the finish it produced, so I did the entire piece)
Sealed with Verathane brand water-based sealer
