Before & After :: Bench

I immediately fell in love with this bench when I first saw it. I thought it was pretty unique, I haven't seen too many like this one. Normally they just have legs, no arms or handles or whatever you want to call it!

Before:

After:

And I apologize for the terrible after pictures - this wasn't an easy piece to take a picture of, and I (obviously) didn't inherit any of my sister's talent!! But I thought it turned out pretty cute, and I'll be adding it to my collection of furniture to take to the booth.

Speaking of the booth, we were up there this afternoon working and we've finally gotten it ready for business! We had to build some walls and paint, and we'll be setting all our stuff up next week. Here's a little peek at some bags my Mom will have for sale:

This is actually one that she gave me as a Christmas gift, and I absolutely love it! You can use it in so many different ways. I think she designed it to be a "shopping bag" - it has a removeable hard bottom that you can take out to wash the bag, or if you want to use it for something else.

I love the color combo on this one - green burlap with coordinating fabric on the inside.

I forgot to take my camera with me today, but I did remember to take it last time I went and I walked around snapping lots of pictures of various booths so you local folks can see what's up there. I'm running short on time now, but I'll be sure post those next week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

  1. Ohh, that bench is gorgeous! I love the fabric...how do you make yourself put these pieces in your booth instead of finding the perfect spot in your house?! I am afraid that is what I would do! Also, I really like your bag, I may want one that color to go with my orange one :) Oh, and thanks for the link-love :)

  5. Holly the bench looks great! I'm curious though about what it is sitting in front of in that second picture, I love that metal round detail behind it. And I'm always so impressed by your mom's bags. I've never been to The Depot, after y'all get opened I'd love to come check it out!

  8. fingers crossed you win the paint deck! thanks for entering the contest. I know I couldn't believe the price on the sanding blocks. they had more pricey ones, but this one bends so nice and will be easy to use.
